So I just stopped by Slate, a (quite good) traditional magazine that is owned by the Washington Post Co. and happens to live on the Web, and here's what the top of the home page looked like -- a giant ad covering the actual article links: It took me a bit of searching to discover the "close ad" link at the lower left. I don't mind ads, but this is ridiculous....
